The Seasonal Worker Scheme Taskforce is hosting two in-person roundtable events following the publication of the Employer Pays Principle Feasibility Study within the Horticulture Value Chain.
These will be collaborative sessions aimed at reflecting on the findings of the study and identifying potential pathways forward to mitigate financial risk to workers while considering food security and sector sustainability. Recognising that this is a sensitive topic, the sessions will be independently facilitated to foster meaningful collaboration and maximise participation.
Specifically, the sessions will:
- Build understanding of the research study contents
- Discuss and hear perspectives on the study findings
- Collaboratively consider feasible potential next steps
Participants are expected to have read the report and watched the webinar outlining the key findings. Further preparatory materials will be circulated in advance.
Event dates and locations:
- 8 October – Cambridgeshire
These events are for Taskforce members and wider invited stakeholders. Attendance is limited to one member per organisation unless otherwise communicated. Specific venue details will be included in the confirmation email. Provisional timings are 10am – 4.30pm, with registration from 9.30am.
As the events build on one another, we request that attendees are available to participate on both dates. Please register for both dates.
