Event description
Our first network meeting of 2021 takes place Friday 5th March focussed on ethnicity pay data and normalising conversations about race.

About this Event

Everybody should feel able to bring their whole selves to work and achieve their full potential.

Committing to true representation across all levels of the workforce is not only morally right but also good for business. Research shows that ethnically diverse companies are 35 per cent more likely to perform better financially than their national industry medians.

Discrimination and bias can be broken down through open communication, inclusive collaboration, and transparent commitments to changing the way we work together. It’s time to truly build an engaged, diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects our community.

Founded by Oracle, Thames Water and the University of Reading in May 2019, this network is for Employers across the UK to come together to share best practice and learn from one another.

Aimed at HR Directors, Heads of Diversity and Inclusion and Chairs of Employee Networks, this next meeting will be focussed on ethnicity pay data presented by the Office of National Statistics and a let’s talk about race workshop facilitated by Business in the Community.

Keynote speakers:

  • Tom Evans, Office of National Statistics - ethnicity pay data analysis
  • Sharon Attafuah-Annafi and Amy Smith, BITC - let's talk about race workshop
