Description

This session will look at the latest developments in employment law with particular reference to how it applies in an educational institution.

There have been a number of recent cases and other developments of interest to providers of higher education. This employment law update will cover:

  • The Taylor Report, and the future of the employment relationship for employees and workers, including what this means for zero hours workers and staff on different contracts
  • How the law of privacy is developing in the workplace, and what you can do about it
  • GDPR for HR, what to do now and what to think about
  • CPD, sickness cover, maternity leave and statutory leave for short term staff and industry professionals employed by an institution

Session format:

Presentations with hand-outs and case studies, with plenty of time for discussion and questions.

This session is suitable for:
HR and financial managers and senior managers.
