GDPR for HR practitioners. Everyone knows the General Data Protection Regulation is coming: but what does it mean? This practical session, aimed at HR professionals, will explore the impact of GDPR and give practical tips for steps you can take now to future proof your organisation. Speakers will be from Forbes solicitors specialist data protection and employment teams; giving you an in-depth look at the impact of GDPR on your organisation.

Speakers: Emma Swan, Daniel Milnes and Mark Makin

Speakers Background:

Emma Swan is a Partner within the Employment Law Department and has built up a range of experience since qualifying in 2003, working with both private and public sector clients of a variety of sizes incontentious and non-contentious matters. Emma takes a dynamic and pragmatic approach to find workable commercial solutions for clients. She is valued by clients as not only an employment lawyer but a business adviser who is accessible and attentive too.Emma has extensive experience of employment tribunal litigation, appearing in Tribunals all over England, Wales and Scotland.

Daniel Milnes is the Partner and Head of Commercial. He has extensive experience in advising public and private sector clients on a wide range of contractual matters and issues relating to governance and compliance. This has involved advising on many types of commercial contracts including joint ventures, development and construction agreements, distribution, agency and intellectual property contracts including IT contracts,sponsorships and other rights licensing arrangements. This has also involved advising on debt and grant funding agreements as well as private and government funded equity investment deals.
