Employment Law Update
The seminar will aim to bring delegates up to date with the most recent developments in the field of Employment and HR Law, taking into account both legislative changes and recent case law. The seminar will provide delegates not only with a key update, but will also provide an insight into the practical impact of the changes and how this will impact on practitioners advice and best practice.
Speaker: David Carmicheal Field Fisher
I am an employment law generalist with over twenty years' experience. I have a keen interest in executive exits, restrictive covenant issues, whistleblowing and any sensitive people problems that carry reputational risk to shareholder value.
My experience covers the spectrum of employment issues from best practice in recruitment through the lifetime of the employment relationship, to dismissal and beyond (to include the protection of an employer's trade connection, skilled workforce and confidential information).
I work with a range of clients from business owners, directors with P&L responsibility, and HR professionals at all levels. My clients can be quoted businesses, institutions, private equity backed businesses or family owned concerns. My experience is largely UK but I have worked with colleagues in other jurisdictions and on multi-jurisdictional issues.
In essence I am a problem solver, seeking to avoid problems for my clients and where the unavoidable problems arise seeking the best resolution in a timely, practical, cost effective manner, that mitigates client risk to an acceptable level.
In my spare time I like to cycle and indulge my passion for history, especially political history. When I have the time I also like to travel.
Times: 6.30pm for 7pm until 8pm approx
Tea and coffee at the start and buffet at the end for extra networking.
