Employment law update | Annual employment law masterclass
Event Information
About this Event
Societal developments and the impact of COVID-19 have brought in to sharper focus the importance of diversity, inclusion and wellbeing to an organisation's success.
Our flagship Annual Employment Law Masterclass provides insightful sessions on recent and forthcoming legislative changes together with the latest case law developments, plus focused deep-dive sessions on areas of particular current interest to people professionals, business owners, managers and students in HRM.
Session details
We will look at several key discrimination developments, to help you understand how to tackle workplace inequality and the consequences if you do not. We will also cover important new case law, and legislation, including the rights workers have if they refuse to attend work on health and safety grounds, and other emerging trends.
About our speakers
Sara Barrett, Partner
Sara is a partner in the employment team and provides commercial and pragmatic employment law advice and solutions to:
- Commercial businesses of varying sizes, from start-ups to multinational PLC's
- Public sector clients ( largely HE and FE education clients) and not for profit organisations including charities.
- Senior executives on appointment and exit
Sara works with clients to ensure she understands their specific business needs, their objectives and approach to risk so that she can give tailored advice that suits their needs. Sara assists in resolving employment issues (whether strategic business decisions or day to day problems) that may distract clients from managing and achieving their core business objectives.
