Following the decision by the UK to Brexit from the EU, James Humphery from Trethowan's Solicitors will use this one hour session to take those attending through the potential outcomes as these are likely to effect employers/employees. He will also explore what HR can do to build business resilience legally into the workforce.
Employment law cases currently going through the Courts will be covered, together with their impact and outcomes. These include:
- Brexit, including importing workers from the EU
- Gender Pay
- Religious discrimination and clothing
- Employment and the Workplace in 2020
James Humphery is a rounded senior employment lawyer, a CEDR accredited mediator and immigration expert. His work for employers is grounded in HR support and informed by his extensive experience of taking and defending actions in Employment Tribunal, the Employment Appeal Tribunal, the Courts and the First Tier Tribunal. In his immigration practice, James supports businesses with strategic advice on regulatory compliance using his understanding of current rules and emerging themes in national immigration policy. James' support for employees is based on a rigorous identification of the issues and a realistic assessment of remedies and the prospects of success.

Is there parking available at the venue?
Limited parking on site, but Wiltshire Council Park and Ride is adjacent to the venue. Some parking also available in Parkway Gym car park, but participants are advised to check parking restrictions in both locations before leaving their vehicles. Participants should note that parking in the Aldi car park is limited to 90 minutes only and any longer will incur a parking charge of £40.
