The next East Midlands HR Network event is an Employment Law Update, delivered by the team at our founding co-sponsors, Actons.

Speakers:

Nic Elliott - Director & Employment Lawyer at Actons

Nic deals with a broad range of employment issues, regularly advising on day to day employee relations, complex litigation, restructure, and other non-contentious issues. He takes a commercial approach to advice, focusing on what a client wants to achieve and how much risk they are prepared to take. Nic spent time seconded to the HR team of HSBC bank, assisting with major HR projects and providing procedural advice on complex disciplinary and grievance procedures.

James Symons - Associate & Employment Lawyer at Actons

James advises clients on business reorganisations and redundancies, TUPE dismissals, discrimination, settlement agreements and employment documentation. He has experience dealing with the full range of employment tribunal claims in the employment tribunals and is a tribunal advocate, having successfully represented employers in multi-day hearings for unfair dismissal, whistleblowing, discrimination and breach of contract.
