As indicated previously the forthcoming Employment Rights Bill will have an impact on the current Industrial Relations landscape, within the U.K. and this event will aim to inform our membership of those implications.
Also through consideration of recent case studies we can consider how the current Employment Law is being interpreted.
Lee and Nicola will explore the following areas:
• An update on the progress of the Employment Rights Bill
• Other new/forthcoming legislation
• A round up of recent case law of interest to HR professionals and business owners.
Speakers bio:
Nicola Barrass is a Partner and founder of Barrass Whiting LLP. Nicola qualified as a solicitor in July 2000 and has specialised in employment law for over 20 years, advising a wide range of businesses, charities, employees and directors on their employment law issues. Nicola has been ranked in the Legal 500 for many years and is noted as being “extremely knowledgeable and… always pragmatic.” She is passionate about providing her clients with practical and reassuring advice and support, and the highest levels of service. Nicola regularly speaks at training sessions and external events.
Lee Whiting is a Partner and founder of Barrass Whiting LLP. Lee has specialised exclusively in the field of employment law for more than 20 years. His approach is to understand the client’s objective(s),
outline the options and then recommend a tailored solution. Lee has been ranked as a ‘leader in the field’ of employment law for the last 15 years by leading legal directories Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500. He delivers seminars and training sessions for clients and Lee has been regularly invited to speak to external organisations such as the CIPD.
