At our next Annual Employment Law Update, we welcome back Andrew Knorpel and Sofia Syed from Mundays Solicitors to bring you topical advice on how best to protect your organisation in the field of social media and data protection.
The instantaneous nature of social media means that an ill-judged comment can destroy reputations which may have taken years to build in a matter of mouse clicks. Andrew Sofia from Mundays’ Employment Team will look at how employers should deal with the use and misuse of social media by employees. This will be followed by top tips on how to deal with and respond to subject access requests under the Data Protection Act 1998 which employees are increasingly using in an attempt to assist with their case or for tactical reasons to encourage settlement. This will include working out how you can make best use of the various exemptions which may apply.
