Event Details

Join our employment experts from global law firm Squire Patton Boggs (UK) LLP for an informative and lively update session exploring the latest developments and hot topics in the ever-changing world of employment law. A tasty hot breakfast will be provided.

Squire Patton Boggs is a full-service global firm with over 1,500 lawyers in 47 offices across 20 countries. The employment team works across all sectors, representing clients of all sizes, from small, family-run business to global multinational, house-hold name corporates (and everything in between).

Our speakers:

Ramez Moussa is a Labour & Employment Partner based in Squire’s Birmingham office.   He advises a diverse range of clients on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law, with particular expertise in corporate restructurings, outsourcing/TUPE, business recovery/insolvency situations and change projects. On the contentious side, he has significant experience advising on complex and high value, multi-respondent discrimination claims.  Ramez is also a regular speaker at Squire’s national programme of employment seminars and briefings and frequently delivers bespoke training to clients on a wide variety of topics. He is recognised in the legal directories for his client relationship management skills and pragmatic solutions-driven advice.

Helena Morrissey is a Director in Squire’s Labour & Employment practice, also based in Birmingham.  Helena deals with both contentious and non-contentious employment issues, and has both private and public sector experience.  She is a keen Employment Tribunal advocate and has dealt with a wide range of employment claims including various types of discrimination, TUPE and redundancy as well as unfair dismissals.   Helena has significant experience in guiding employers through the on-going management of employees, dealing with disciplinary and performance issues and managing long-term or frequent sickness absence. She also provides advice on the employment implications of business transactions and pension scheme closures as well as providing general advice on contracts of employment and company handbooks.

A free copy of the Squire Patton Boggs Essential HR Legal Facts Guide will be available at the Employment Law Update.
