Employers faced with the win or loss of a commercial contract; bringing a function back “in-house”; selling a business or even taking over another business, need to know how the change in circumstances will impact upon all employees affected by such changes.
The Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE) govern these activities. In recent times the Government amended TUPE as an attempt to ease employers' headaches in this tricky area of the law. In some respects, the changes sought to make it easier for employers to understand and apply them.
Shakespeare Martineau will host an interactive workshop focusing on TUPE and how it applies to corporate and commercial transactions. Delegates will be invited to participate in a practical, commercial and interactive session focusing on a real life case study acted out by Shakespeare Martineau team. The session is designed to bring delegates up to speed with TUPE and will aim to highlight practical and tactical issues to consider when faced with a TUPE situation.
This workshop is aimed at directors, managers, senior HR professionals and all those involved in business planning.
