This seminar is aimed at those working in Employment Law.


Elouisa Crichton, Counsel, Dentons. Elouisa specialises in employment and discrimination law. She has unique experience in guiding clients through large scale cultural change projects and investigations. Her work in equality and discrimination law covers employment related matters and advising organisations on their Equality Act obligations to customers and service users and in the context of professional sport. She is used to working on high profile matters under press scrutiny and engaging with key stakeholders including Scottish Government. Elouisa advises on bullying and harassment, furlough/CJRS, Covid-safe workplace, tribunal claims, mediation, corporate transactions, employment aspects of insolvency, contracts, policies, governance, restrictive covenants, TUPE, redundancy, trade unions/industrial relations, employment GDPR, equal pay and general HR advisory. She has a specialist knowledge of maternity and shared parental leave, gender pay gap reporting, equal pay and gender equality matters.

Stuart McWilliams, Partner, Morton Fraser LLP.  Stuart is recognised by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Immigration law and advises clients on all aspects of UK immigration law.  He provides advice and assistance to businesses in relation to the Tier 2 Sponsorship process and is recognised for his expertise in working with software and technology companies who are experiencing skill shortages.  He also has extensive experience working with Tier 1 entrepreneurs who are looking to establish their businesses in the UK.  Further, Stuart deals with private client immigration matters and can advise on any application for Leave to Remain. He speaks frequently on immigration issues and has particular expertise in relation to the family migration rules.  Stuart is ranked as a Star Associate by Chambers & Partners 2019. He is the Convener of the Law Society of Scotland's Immigration and Asylum Law Sub-Committee.

Lindsey Cartwright, Partner, Morton Fraser LLP. Lindsey is one of Scotland's best-known employment lawyers. She is an accredited specialist in employment law, having over 20 years experience in this field and regularly advises both employers and employees. Lindsey has a successful track record in the Employment Tribunal and is one of the "go-to" lawyers for training companies for training other solicitors and HR professionals. Chambers and Partners quote sources as saying "She has always been excellent." Highly regarded by her peers, Lindsey is the first female President of the Employment Law Group in Scotland and is also the Senior Tutor in employment law for the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at The University of Glasgow.
