This webinar will be of interest to solicitors and other legal professionals working in employment law. It will also be of interest to employers, managers and HR staff.


Lindsey Cartwright, Partner, Morton Fraser. Lindsey is an accredited specialist in employment law and advises both employers and employees on a wide range of issues. She acts for clients at all stages of the employment relationship including advising on the legal aspects of recruitment, drafting documentation, advising on employee relations and redundancy exercises and negotiating severance arrangements. She regularly represents employers and employees at the Employments Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal. Lindsey leads her firms Equality Team and is a regular speaker and commentator on employment law topics both for training companies and in the Press.

Gillian Moore, Associate, Shepherd and Wedderburn. Gillian provides clients with pragmatic, solution-focussed advice on the full range of employment law and HR issues, including: disciplinary and grievance matters, long term and persistent absence, performance improvement, employment status, and family and flexible working arrangements. She also supports clients to effectively deliver significant change projects involving redundancy, restructuring and changes to terms and conditions. Gillian has considerable experience in dealing with contentious employment matters, defending clients against unfair dismissal, discrimination, breach of contract and TUPE-related claims brought in the employment tribunal. She has first-hand litigation experience, appearing in the Employment Tribunal and the Sheriff Court.

Sarah Gilzean, Senior Associate, Morton Fraser Employment Law team. Sarah is an accredited specialist in employment law and has particular expertise in discrimination and equal pay. Sarah is highly regarded in the sector as a discrimination lawyer and is Convener of the Law Society Equalities Law Reform Committee and Secretary of the Scottish Discrimination Law Association. Sarah acts for a wide range of employer and employee clients in the public and private sectors. She regularly advises in relation to senior exits, TUPE and redundancy, disciplinary and grievance, contractual disputes, whistleblowing, discrimination, equal pay and industrial relations. She appears on behalf of clients in the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal and is regularly asked to speak at conferences and training seminars on employment law and discrimination topics. Sarah is considered an Associate to Watch in Employment law by Chambers and Partners.
