Our employment support service is for 16 to 19 year olds in Chorley and South Ribble who are not in education, employment or training but who want to be.
It aims to help you build confidence and set goals so that you can find and maintain a job, complete a training course or gain useful qualifications.
How does employment support work?
You will be supported by a mentor on a one-to-one basis (usually for around six months).
You will meet with your mentor each week and they will help you think about what you enjoy doing, what you are good at and what you might like to do in the future.
Along with your mentor you will put together a plan that breaks down your goals into manageable targets and we will give you support every step of the way to help you achieve these.
How can we help?
We could help you:
- Improve your confidence and self-esteem
- Develop life skills and set life goals
- Get valuable work experience
- Back into education, training or apprenticeships and traineeships
- Improve your CV and interview techniques
- Find and maintain work.
