This workshop is designed for university researchers, academic staff members, and lecturers who are interested in learning how to use Generative Artificial Intelligence tools in their teaching and research. The session will focus on how these tools can support academic writing, lesson planning, student feedback, and research development.

Workshop Overview:
During this interactive session, participants will:

  • Learn about the main concepts of Generative Artificial Intelligence in university teaching and research.
  • Explore practical ways to write effective instructions for Artificial Intelligence tools, known as “prompting.”
  • Discover useful frameworks such as the Five S Model, Role Task Requirements Instructions (RTRI), Include Develop Evaluate Apply (IDEA), and Concise Logical Explicit Adaptive Reflective (CLEAR) that help structure clear and effective prompts.
  • Practise creating and improving their own prompts for use in research, academic writing, and student learning.

The session will also include opportunities for discussion, sharing experiences, and reflecting on how Artificial Intelligence can enhance both teaching and research in higher education.
