With hate crime figures on the rise, the ever present need exists to support understanding of diversity and foster community cohesion.

The conference aims to support learning about hate crime through the lived experiences of its speakers and the good practice demonstrated across Ayrshire and beyond to tackle it.

The conference provides participates with the opportunity to:

- learn from Keynote addresses by Dr Christian Harrison, Reader in Leadership - UWS, and Khadjia Mohammed, Senior Lecturer - UWS

- participate in two 45 minute workshops from a selection of seven choices

- network with a range of organisations holding stalls between 12 noon and 3.30pm

Dave Scott, Campaign Director - Nil by Mouth, is the conference host. He will set the context for the day and provide the plenary.

Kilmarnock Campus, Ayrshire College is an accessible venue. It is located near public transport including the train and bus. Parking spaces at Kilmarnock campus are limited and it is advisable to consider public transport or car-sharing as acquiring a parking space cannot be guaranteed.
