As part of Scottish Fintech Festival, Sopra Steria and Fintech Scotland are pleased to invite you to the Fintech Bites event on the 16th of September, 18:00 pm at CodeClan.

During the panel, we will be looking into the innovation from technology and the regulatory side of things.

We will be discussing Financial Regulation ecosystem key players and collaboration between them. Guest speakers will address regulatory challenges and opportunities they bring to start-ups and large financial companies and vital academia part in the ecosystem. We will also highlight how Technology companies help the regulator to innovate.

Muzammil Shabuding, Lead Consultant Prudential Risk & Regulation. Sopra Steria

A senior Risk & Regulation assurance practitioner, providing significant governance & control experience across the first, second & third lines of defence of UK, European & international financial institutions. Currently leading key elements of Sopra Steria’s UK Consulting Risk & Regulation initiatives. Focus is on combining deep domain expertise in financial risk, operational risk and retail & commercial credit risk with Sopra Steria’s leading/emerging technology pull through.


Daniel Broby, Director, Listings Ledger Plc & Director, Centre for Financial Regulation and Innovation. Strathclyde Business School

Daniel is a specialist in Financial Technology. He is a co-founder of the Strathclyde Staff Startup, Listings Ledger Plc. The company has patented technology that uses Artificial Intelligence to value private companies in real-time. At Strathclyde, he is Director of the Centre for Financial Innovation and Regulation (CeFRI). He conducts research in the Department of Accounting and Finance, ranked "1st in the UK for Accounting and Finance" in the Complete University Guide Subject League Table 2019.


Adam Shardlow, Managing Consultant - CX. Sopra Steria

Adam has over ten years’ experience in CX optimisation for both the FS and retail segments having worked for RBS, Amazon, Virgin Money, Lloyds and other companies.

With a background in leading complex customer-facing AI solutions, omnichannel developments and strategy sessions on the use of digital solutions for customer-centric results. His skillset includes operating an Agile business support model focused on constant optimisation, data-led design, personalisation, conversational commerce and customer satisfaction scoring.
