Event description

Description

This 1-day event will showcase the use of enabling technologies for chemical synthesis. Subject experts will give tutorial style lectures on flow chemistry (Prof. Ian Baxendale), mechanochemistry (Prof. Carsten Bolm), photochemistry (Dr Susannah Coote) and electrochemistry (Prof. Siegfried Waldvogel). This will be supported by short lectures from PhD students and PDRAs. There will also be a poster session and an exhibition focused on enabling technologies.

Attendance at this meeting is free, but all attendees must register

Poster Session: Posters will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis and should include the use of an enabling technology (electrochemistry, photochemistry, microwave irradiation, polymer supported reactants/reagents, mechanochemistry, flow chemistry, sonochemistry, 3D printing, automated synthesis, data capture) for synthesis.

ECR Bursaries: There will be a small number of bursaries available for early career researchers to attend this meeting - please contact dialamol@soton.ac.uk to apply.

Organisers: Dr. Louis Morrill, Dr. Duncan Browne and Prof. Thomas Wirth
