Event description

Description

With the recent launch of British Standard 8001: 2017 - the world's first circular economy guide standard – Fothergill Training and Consulting in association with eden21 has developed a one-day training course on the new standard.

This practical one-day training course centres on identified business needs and is designed to equip attendees with the core knowledge, practical tools and case study examples to begin exploring and developing their organisation’s circular economy journey.

Based on BS8001, the training day will provide structured learning through a mix of practical exercises, presentations and case studies. These will explore the opportunities and challenges associated with this rapidly developing area of sustainable business. As an added benefit, all delegates will be provided with their own copy of BS8001, allowing them to build on their learning and start embedding circularity on returning to their organisation.

Delegates will become familiar with BS8001’s circular economy terminology, underpinning principles and implementation framework. This will include how to undertake an assessment of their organisation's baseline maturity in sustainable resource management terms, as well as advice on developing the necessary vision and circularity culture.

These classroom training days are ideal for senior managers and directors, as well as procurement staff, designers and sustainability professionals who want to gain a greater understanding of how the standard can start benefiting their business or organisation.

The day's course includes: training, refreshments, lunch and a pdf copy of BS8001 (retails at £98.00).

We can also offer bespoke BS 8001 training courses and sustainable business support designed to meet your specific organisation’s needs. Tailored elements include supply chain training and risk mapping, as well as sustainability strategy development.

To find out more, enquire about multiple bookings, or to discuss bespoke support on the Circular Economy please email stuart@eden21.co.uk or call the office on 07917 653 173.
