Description

Fostering local innovation and increasing efficiency of public services, while decreasing costs and breaking down silos: Many cities use smart technologies to achieve these goals, but are often struggling to extract the promised value out of ICT solutions.

This workshop sets out to give an overview of

  • The OASC principles and how the so-called Minimal Interoperability Mechanisms - a baseline set of standards and principles for smart cities - support cities in procuring digital services.

  • how cities use data to support decision-making.

  • how EIT Digital is supporting cities in their digital transition.

  • an example for open source digital services based on OASC Mechanisms: the Cedus City Enabler.
