About this event
Calling foodies, and chefs of all levels! This exclusive session, led by renowned chef and teacher Reiko Hashimoto, invites you to Enclave: Acton’s communal cooking space for an authentic Japanese food experience.
Under the expert guidance of Reiko, founder of Hashi Cooking, the UK’s first specialist Japanese Cookery School, you’ll learn how to make Sushi – the traditional Japanese rolls of rice and fish and / or vegetables – and before sitting down to eat your culinary creations.
In this session, you’ll receive:
• An introduction from Reiko to Japanese Cooking and Sushi.
• A demonstration of making Sushi Rice, Sushi Rolls and Nigiri (hand mould sushi)
• An opportunity to make your own Sushi Rolls - either with fish including raw salmon and teriyaki mackerel, or a vegetarian option with smoked tofu and teryaki mushrooms.
• An opportunity to make your own Nigiri
• A delicious lunch of Sushi that you’ve made yourself.
The cooking workshop will last for 60 minutes, after which you'll have time to eat your creations.
You’ll have a choice of making fish or vegetarian – please select your preferred option during check-out for your ticket.
Please note:
· 5 days notice is required to confirm dietary requirements, so any changes made after that may not be able to be accomodated.
· Dishes made do not contain gluten, although the dishes are prepared in a kitchen where gluten is an ingredient in other dishes.
All tickets - both residents and guests - should be registered for under the name and details of the individual attending.
