Event description

Description

In November 2017 Bristol came together to make connections and commence a city-wide coordinated approach to ensure that no one in Bristol suffers a cold home by 2030.

Since then, progress has been made towards tackling fuel poverty in Bristol and now producing a fuel poverty action plan that will include achievable, clear actions with an aim to publish in early 2020.

Mayor of Bristol, Marvin Rees, invites you to join us for an engaging and collaborative morning with charities, community organisations, health bodies and businesses working with and for our city’s most vulnerable residents. Using a One City approach, the event will bring together individuals and organisations from across the city and region to discuss tangible actions for tackling fuel poverty and how your organisation can play a part.

This event is an important opportunity for you to contribute your individual or organisational activities and ensure your aspirations for the future of Bristol help shape the action plan.

We are delighted to be joined by Professor Julia Verne of Public Health England and Simon Roberts OBE, Chief Executive of the Centre for Sustainable Energy who will open the event.

Let’s act together for our city.

Registration is from 8:45 with refreshments and pastries, and the event will begin at 9:15. Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements. The event will close by 13:00.

The venue has level access into the building, disabled facilities and a hearing loop system. Find out more about the venue here.
