Description

The end of Privacy 1.0 – Thursday May 24th, 2018.

DESCRIPTION

The end of Privacy 1.0 - May 24th, 2018. The last day before new EU Privacy regulation comes into force.

May 25th marks the day privacy law starts to be enforced in the UK, and the EU. It represents a shift to a new privacy paradigm more equipped for digital information society. Including, new performance requirements like being able to provide consent and make personal data portable, receiving data “in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format” and receiving “meaningful information” about the logic, significance and consequences of automated decision-making.
