On Saturday 24th September, you’re warmly invited to our BBQ feast! Using the best quality ingredients, seasonal goodies and our expert knowledge of flavour we have created a feast to celebrate the end of summer.
The menu will include chicken, beef and duck all BBQ over oak smoke in our Old Market, Courtyard. There will be BBQ grilled fish as well as a decadent selection of salads and roasted sweet-potatoes.
WHAT TO DRINK
We operate a ‘bring your own booze’ at our feast nights, and would recommend visiting our friends at the Old Chapel Cellars, Truro for the perfect feast night food and wine match.
Expert sommeliers, Jamie & Charlotte, would recommend either of two wines to accompany the feast.
First, La Suerte De Arrayan, Garnacha 2012, Spain, £14.99.Made from 100% Grenache/ Garnacha grapes. It’s an impressive wine with deep red fruits, silky tannins and a round supple palate with spicy finish which will compliment your meat dishes.
Second,Tannu, Rosso Terre Sicliane 2014, Sicily, £8.99.Tannu means "back when" and the biologic, organic wine references how things used to be. The grapes are handpicked and made from Nero d'avola and Merlot. Enjoy this fruity, spicy, full flavoured, yet smooth and luscious wine.
Buy online or receive 10% off this bottle if you visit Old Chapel Cellars in-store.
WHAT TO BRING
Aside from wine and glasses, you’ll need to bring plates and cutlery. As we move into September make sure to bring blankets and a cosy jumper for the evening.
Showcasing the best of what we offer at the Old Market Chacewater, our feast nights are inclusive, convivial events with everyone welcome. Bring friends and family, and bag a spot at our feast table.
