Endocrinology and ENT in Primary Care

Network Locum is pleased to announce our next CPD event in partnership with HCA Healthcare UK held at The Wilmslow Hospital, South Manchester.
This primary care-led event promises to be an interesting and informative evening focusing on Endocrinology in primary care and the management of the dizzy patient from a ENT perspective, kicked off with complementary drinks, a buffet, and a chance to network with speakers and fellow GPs.
Dr Basil Issa has been a Consultant Endocrinologist and Diabetologist at South Manchester University Hospitals since October 2004. Prior to this he was a Consultant in Endocrinology and Diabetes at North Manchester General Hospital where he worked for six years and led the endocrine service in this hospital. He was appointed senior registrar at the University Hospital of Wales in 1996 before taking up his consultant post in Manchester. He was awarded FRCP in 2002. Basil has a keen interest in therapeutics in type 2 diabetes, obesity and diabetes, thyroid disease, neuroendocrinology and medical education.
Professor Jarrod Homer is Lead Clinician for Head and Neck Cancer at both The Christie and Manchester Royal Infirmary, where he has been a consultant otolaryngologist/head and neck surgeon since 2002. His practice focuses on surgery for head and neck cancers, thyroid problems, skull base tumours, and head and neck dystonias. He has also established several innovative clinics at these hospitals, including the regional head and neck dystonia clinic, a neck/thyroid lump clinic with surgeon delivered ultrasound, transoral laser microsurgery for head and neck cancers, and a comprehensive skull base oncology service. An international authority on ENT/head and neck surgery, Professor Homer presents at national and international conferences and is clinical chair of otolaryngology/head and neck surgery at the Manchester Academic Health Sciences Centre.
