The British Endodontic Society West Midlands Study Group presents:

“Endodontic Workflow in General Dental Practice”

Aims and objectives

  • Understand the importance of efficient endodontic workflow and close support work

  • Appreciate the importance of consistent examination, diagnosis and treatment protocols

  • Be aware of current instruments and materials used in effective endodontic treatment

  • Appreciate the biological rationale underlying endodontic treatment.

2 hour certificate of enhanced CPD will be provided.

Biography

Michael Waplington BDS, MDentSc.

Mike qualified from University of Birmingham School of Dentistry in 1988. His first jobs were in the oral surgery field, based in hospitals in the West Midlands, and he held a part time clinical assistant post at Walsall Manor Hospital for several years. He gained his Masters degree from the University of Birmingham in 1995, and was accepted onto the General Dental Council Specialist List in Endodontics in 2001. He was a lecturer in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Birmingham until 2005. He accepts referrals for specialist endodontic treatment from across the whole Midlands region at treatment centres in Evesham and Birmingham. He has presented research and clinical work at scientific meetings in Europe, North America and Asia, and continues to teach at postgraduate level throughout the UK. He is a Past President of the British Endodontic Society.
