E4A: AGM Conference

We are delighted to invite you to our social evening, AGM and conference at Lancaster University on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st September 2019. This annual event is a chance to share learning and opportunities and helps set our direction as a group of cooperatives. Right now is a very important time for us all, with much up in the air. We trust that the weekend will be engaging, informative and fun and we hope you will leave feeling inspired and enthused.

Energy4All will cover the cost of accommodation, entertainment and food for the duration of the conference. Rooms are reserved at the Lancaster House Hotel and the University, which will also be providing the catering. Drinks and travel will be extra.

Schedule:

The Friday will be a social evening with a buffet. There will also be presentations from a few of our co-ops who have had particularly exciting years and wish to share their progress. There will be time for mingling and socialising at the bar afterwards!

On Saturday, we will follow the same setup as previous years. The formal E4A AGM will take place in the morning, hosted by chair Mike Smyth, followed by two presentations. Our two key note speakers are Vivian Woodell and Natasha Hoare. Vivian is the founder and former CEO of the Phone Cooperative and is on the board of Co-ops UK. Natasha is a Masters student at the University of Lancaster looking into how E4A can understand and support the development of our co-ops. The morning sessions will be followed by lunch and three workshop activities in the afternoon. A formal agenda for the weekend and registration for the workshops will follow closer to the time.

Accommodation:

Accommodation will be provided in Lancaster University halls of residence. We also have a limited number of double rooms in the Lancaster House Hotel.

Catering:

Please note that all catering will be vegetarian. Please let us know if you have other dietary requirements.
