As part of Arbeit Studios Launch Programme of new public space Devonshire Square in Palmers Green, organised by Studio Cell as part of the Enfield Community Art Exhibtion.

11am-4pm | Meet the Artist

Meet and greet the following artists who will be happy to talk about their artistic practice and how their work relates to HOME.

12-2pm | Portrait Drawing

The public are welcome to get their portrait drawn by selected artist Ruijun Hu who will share his sketch experience.

Stencil making and spray painting of birds to promote freedom led by local artist Dominic Madden.

8th June | 11.30am-1pm| It's Just a Weed?

Let’s talk about the value of pavement plants. Participants will make transfer prints using local street plants. We will create our own “pavement" with local artist Nicola Scott. 6+ with accompanying adult.

8th June | 2-3.30pm | Circular Tapestry Weaving Workshop

We will cover basic weaving techniques, experimenting with textures and colors to create unique pieces. Designed as a mindful and meditative experience, the session encourages participants to reconnect with themselves through the rhythmic process of weaving. Led by local artist La Marea. 8+ with accompanying adult.

14th June | 11.30am-1pm | Etching Printing Taster*

An introduction to drypoint etching using recycled tetra pax (from drinks cartons). Delivered by local artist Sonia Cudd. 8+ with accompanying adult.

14th June | 2-3.30pm | Print and Recycling Collage Workshop

Using recycled and found imagery, paints, and glues to explore composition and storytelling. Participants will be encouraged to create layered, personal pieces that reflect their own sense of place and belonging with local artist Shay Press. Accessible to all skill levels. 8+ with accompanying adult.

15th June | 2-3.30pm | Embroidering Words

Participants will be taught simple embroidery skills and how embroidered patches can be finished artworks in themselves or part of a larger piece. Each participant will choose their own message to sew. Led by local artist Miranda Gibbon, any skill level and experience with sewing. 9+ with accomanying adult.

22nd June | 11.30am-1pm | Confidence Building and Growth Mindset*

Confidence Building and Growth Mindset using Therapeutic Art with local artist and wellbeing practitioner Yesim Guner. 16+ with accompanying adult.

28th June | 11.30am-1pm | Understanding Watercolour Through a Three-Value System

This workshop introduces participants to the three-value system in watercolour—a powerful approach to creating depth, structure, and impact in paintings. We will explore how to simplify a scene into light, mid, and dark values, helping artists strengthen their compositions and enhance their understanding of tonal contrast with local artist Chris Seddon. 8+ with accompanying adult.

28th June | 2-3.30pm | 3D Needle Felting Workshop for Beginners

Perfect for beginners who want to explore this fun and creative craft! In this session, you’ll learn the basics of needle felting. What to Expect: An introduction to needle felting technique, including shaping wool and adding details. Step-by-step guidance to help you create a simple yet beautiful 3D ornament led by local artist Izabela Gorecka. This workshop would be open to ages 14+ due to the sharp needles used in felting.

29th June | 11.30am-1pm | Natural Pigments - Indigo and Walnut Ink

The workshop explores Pigment Making. Participants will learn to grind and use binders for natural pigments. They will paint a small motif to see how their paint is successful. They can take away their paints in shells and their paintworks, led by local artist Tasleema Alam. 8+ with accompanying adult.
