If you have a community garden, have children, or work with children come along to this session for ideas on ways to offer engaging and inclusive creative activities and experiences that encourage children to discover, share, and build on their understanding of wildlife and seasonal plants growing in the garden.
The session will include - exploring themes, setting up nature trails, creative activities using natural and/or recycled materials, workshop checklist, with emphasis on sharing ideas as a group.
Lauren Ballard is a community artist with a background in environmental art and education, and over 6 years experience of leading engaging creative workshops in schools and community settings for children and families. She has been running creative and environmental education activities for the Castle's Garden Events for the past 2 years.
