Event description

Description

Join us on Friday, 19th May for an inspiring end to your week, where you can network with like-minded people and listen to talks about the people management issue of our time – Driving Employee Engagement (and how to do it with success).

Headline speaker – Dawn George, Head of Human Resources, Eden Project

Eden is an Educational Charity based in Cornwall, who many of you will know as a visitor attraction. Eden opened in 2001 and since that time has received over 18 million visitors to the site. Eden’s work goes far beyond what you see on the main site and supports international projects and large scale community programmes such as the Big Lunch. Eden experienced a turbulent time through 2012/13 resulting in a large scale re-structure of the organisation, following this there was a programme of activity to re-engage the Eden Team after such a change, which has been a journey of transformation to re-connect everyone with Eden and what we all have in common to be able to succeed. By nature entrepreneurial in its approach, Eden has taken some bold steps to re-engage with everyone and ensure that they are all moving ahead as One Team for the next phase of their journey together with the development of Eden International, Education and the Eden Hotel.

Take-away: How to turn the frown upside down! Re-Engaging a disaffected workforce

Engage for Success Speaker – what is it all about? Cath Bailey, E4S Regional Ambassador Devon & Cornwall

Cath has been an E4S Regional Ambassador of the Wales and West TAG for a number of years, and initiated the Devon and Cornwall TAG, which is in its infancy. This session will reinforce the 4 enablers of engagement that was borne out of the early E4S research and show how they can be applied across all businesses. She will also show you what is available at your finger tips through the E4S website.

Take-away: Be able to use the 4 EFS enablers of engagement, hear the latest E4S news.

Building a compelling business case - Dawn Sowerby, Leadership and Team Coach

Dawn has years of experience working with employee engagement and has successfully developed compelling cases for change to persuade senior business leaders that employee engagement matters. Learn how to set the scene for change, build a compelling narrative and demonstrate that engagement really is a commercial issue.
