Engagement Bites: How can you collaborate with teachers as a route to impact?

Are you interested in collaborating with local schools and engaging teachers and students with your research? Join us at this session that shares the learning from the development of "Thinking Science": resources and training for science teachers, created in a collaborative project between the Centre for Science and Philosophy, Public Engagement, the School of Education and science teachers in Bristol. We will take you through the process of co-development and what we've learnt, from understanding schools' needs, to distilling complex research into a useful and accessible format. We will share feedback from our partners, how these activities could lead to impact and what we hope to do next. You will also get the chance to explore the resources yourself and discuss opportunities for future collaborations with teachers. The session will be led by Ellie Cripps (Public Engagement), Ellie Hart and Professor James Ladyman (Centre for Science and Philosophy).

Engagement Bites is a series of informal lunch time talks organised by the Public Engagement team with the aim of sharing some of the public engagement taking place at the University and opening up conversations about it. Members of the Public Engagement team will be available after the talk to chat about your ideas for public engagement. Feel free to bring your lunch.
