Event description
This event will provide an opportunity to hear more about and share your views on our plans for the future of local hospital services.

About this Event

Across the Humber region, the NHS and other partners are working together to plan for the long-term future of acute hospital services, through working together on the Humber Acute Services Review.

Last year work started on six specialties (you can read about this here). Now we are looking at a broader range of hospital services over the coming months.

This event will focus on future plans for hospital services for adults of all ages. There will be two sessions:

  • care in an emergency (10am to 12noon)
  • planned care (12.30 to 2.30pm) - including orthopaedics, ophthalmology, ear, nose and throat, gastroenterology and urology

You are welcome to attend both sessions or choose the one that interests you most. Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided for those attending.

We would like to hear from individuals who have used or are likely to use acute hospital services at this event. This will include people with long term conditions or an illness that sometimes requires hospitalisation, as well as older people who may be more likely to have an accident. We would also like to hear from community groups and other organisations who work alongside local people to find out more about this work.

We would like to share with you our early work, which tells us about some of the challenges we face in these areas and ask for your views and ideas about what future services should look like.

This workshop will also run on Tuesday 24th September in Willerby.
