Engaging Ethnic Minority Communities in Outdoor Activities
Thu 24 November 2016, 10:00 – 14:00 GMT
Everyone can benefit from outdoor activities and contact with nature and the great outdoors. What opportunities are there for children and adults from Ethnic Minority and diverse communities to get involved in outdoor activies such as 'growing' schemes, environmental projects and natural play programmes? This information and networking event will hear about some recent and current activities to increase outdoor access organised by The Conservation Volunteers, West of Scotland Regional Equality Council, Forestry Commission Scotland, Andalus and CEMVO. This free event (lunch included) is suitable for interested individuals and staff and volunteers from community and voluntary organisations who are looking for some ideas and information, and contacts for the future.
NB The event venue has changed to Community Central Halls from the original venue Napiershall Street Centre.
This event is supported by Scottish Natural Heritage and the Central Scotland Green Network Trust
