Event Details

Is your annual review really working for you? Long text-heavy documents can make for weary reading, even for your funders.

Your funders, supporters and beneficiaries want you highlight the real difference you have made in people’s lives over the year - and the more readable and engaging you make your review or report, the more it shows the impact you are having.

There are simple things you can do with your review to show the difference you make and a range of free or low cost digital tools that can help.

This course will help you to start moving away from a narrative of activities to highlighting the changes you have made.

Is this training for me?

This course is for staff responsible for preparing, writing and designing your annual review. You don’t need to be an expert designer or techie to take part. The course is useful for anyone responsible for report-writing throughout the year.

By the end of the course you’ll be able to:

  • Identify elements of design, style and format for impactful printed reviews

  • Choose a format for your review

  • Select digital tools to create your review

  • Use images, stories and accessible financial information to bring your review to life

You will come away with some fresh, creative ideas to make this year’s annual review stand out from the crowd.

As this course is completely hands on, giving you time to put into practice what you have learned at each stage, we have built in a working lunch. Please bring something to eat, and we will provide tea and coffee!
