🚹 Why This Event Matters
Despite making up over half of the UK workforce, men are significantly underrepresented in workplace health and wellbeing interventions. This event is for anyone leading on wellbeing at work who wants to ensure their strategies are inclusive, relevant, and effective for male colleagues.
Let’s stop assuming “one-size-fits-all” works — because when it comes to men’s health, it doesn’t.
💡 Did You Know?
- 1 in 5 working-age men die due to the five biggest killers: heart disease, prostate cancer, lung cancer, bowel cancer, and suicide before 65
- 40% of men say they'd need to be in crisis before seeking professional help
- Men are half as likely as women to access mental health support through EAPs
- 80% of men who take their own lives have spoken to a primary care professional beforehand, yet their risk is often underestimated
This leaves a dangerous gap between risk, help-seeking behaviour, and how support is accessed.
