The Jenkins Project - Freeva is the perpetrator service in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. We have been in service since 2012 and over the years have developed our expertise in working effectively with perpetrators to change their behaviour and have safer and more respectful relationships.

We are offering training to professionals in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland to develop awareness and skills to aid the engagement of perpetrators.

The training has the following learning objectives:

• To understand the role of community perpetrator services in responding to domestic abuse

• Understanding the different typologies and why people may use abusive behaviour

• Develop appropriate questioning to engage perpetrators, including those in a stage of ambivalence or denial.

• Develop your knowledge of risk factors when engaging with perpetrators of domestic abuse.

• Know and develop ways of responding to perpetrators in the best interests of victim/child safety

• Developing skills and confidence to initiate conversations around the impact of domestic abuse on children

• Basic tools when working with Perpetrators of abuse.

The training uses group discussions, case studies and videos to aid engagement and learning.

You will be emailed a quick questionnaire to be completed prior to and following the session. You will not gain access to the training without completion of the pre-questionnaire.
