About this event

Once your retrofit project is complete, it is essential that your residents understand how to use any new installations and what it means for the way in which they live in their homes. This masterclass will look at heating technology and the best practice for ensuring that residents gain the full benefit of living in a warmer, healthier home.

This masterclass will include:

  • An overview of domestic heating systems and their historical context, to help you explain difficult concepts to residents;
  • Practical methods for engaging with tenants, to help them feel more engaged with their heating system and the process of upgrading; and
  • An outline of the importance of data collection.

Retrofit Information, Support and Expertise (or RISE) is a Government-backed, expert-led service. We offer free training, guidance and support to social housing providers and Local Authorities looking to secure funding for, and deliver successful programmes of, domestic retrofit.

Formally known as the Social Housing Retrofit Accelerator (SHRA) and the Home Upgrade Hub (HUG), RISE brings both of these highly successful programmes together, creating a single, easy to navigate service.
