About this event

About the Event

A networking group for professionals who support the elderly and vulnerable with different aspects of their life. By working together and sharing best practices, we can make a difference to someone’s life!

Based in Farnham, Guildford and the surrounding areas, we are an informal network of individuals and businesses that work to support people during their later life. Perhaps you provide care for people in their own homes, or in a care home. Or you may provide legal or financial advice, work for the NHS, are a social worker or a hairdresser or anyone who works with elderly and vulnerable clients.

The purpose of our networking group is to build mutually beneficial relationships and connections in order to provide learning opportunities within aligned occupations. The ability to learn from each other about our work and bring that knowledge back into our own practice will make us better practitioners.

We place the client at the heart of our thinking and actions and want to share best practices because we are passionate about what we do.

The format of the event will be a brief introduction from everyone, followed by 2 or 3 short presentations from members of the group about their work. We will then have brief discussions with one another before we engage in small groups in the break out rooms. We welcome anyone willing to volunteer for future presentations, so please come and promote your services and what you do. For now, come and join us online because when it is safe to do so we will be holding future events at Bourne Wood Manor Care Home in Farnham.
