Description

GRIP (Gloucestershire Research and Innovation Project) has a number of aims;

  • Better understand the level of innovation in Gloucestershire and were necessary accelerate it
  • Provide a route for students to participate in ‘real world’ projects and exercise their knowledge in SME’s
  • Create a platform for the University Academic community to engage with local businesses in either co-research or longitudinal studies across the county
  • Begin to develop business model for University in Business that is sustainable

The project is pursuing a number of work steams including;

  • Research
  • Supply Chain development
  • Clusters and Networks
  • Commericalisation and IP

This 1 hour session aims to present some of the work that is already taking place and discuss how we can develop a more robust and easy to manage process for engaging the ECRN with potential research projects; and how GRIP can better understand the Research focus.
