Across our University people are carrying out research which is truly life changing. Our belief is by connecting our colleagues to politicians, political stakeholders and influencers, we can use our research to make profound positive change.

In this session you will be given the practical tools and tips to engage with policy makers. Whether you are looking for a way to start or want some tips with a particular group or channel this session will help get your knowledge into practice.

Session outcomes for participants:

By the end of this session, participants will:

• Understand how to engage with policy makers effectively

• Have met a community of likeminded people

• Know where they can get support from the University team

• Have a renewed enthusiasm for the options available to them in putting policy into practice.

Presenter:

James Coe: James is Senior Policy Advisor at the University of Liverpool where he supports the institution to respond to public policy developments, and engage with key stakeholders.

Sabina Frediani: Sabina is Director of Communications and Public Affairs at University of Liverpool where she brings our world leading work to the attention of the public, policy makers, and partners.
