The 3rd in a series of Engine Shed briefings where anyone is welcome to book to hear about an interesting or useful (not always the same thing!) briefing on an important topic or opportunity.
Each briefing will be followed by the opportunity to meet the speaker and grab yourself a cake & a coffee in the Business Lounge.
The NCC facility on the Bristol and Bath Science Park at Emersons Green is a major industrial technology resource for UK, delivering cutting edge research into design and manufacturing technologies with Advanced Composite Materials. Lightweight, durable, and with huge potential for freeform shape and functionally integrated design, composites are used across a huge spectrum of products, from very high performance carbon fibre in medical devices and aircraft wings, to the humble GRP box enclosure for your gas meter, via electric cars, sporting equipment, leisure boats, bridges, hotel shower rooms… even Gromits! The possibilities are endless! The 100+ Engineers, Technicians, Industry Experts, and the kit and facilities at the NCC are available on an Open Access basis, and we have specific support packages to help smaller businesses, particularly those based in the South West. The NCC is also a key component in the UK’s High Value Manufacturing Catapult – so if we can’t help, the chances are we know someone who can.
If you have a product, a design concept, a materials, manufacturing or supply chain challenge, come down to the Engine Shed and talk with an NCC Support Engineer and see if we can help your business.
This session will be followed by an opportunity for 1:1 consultations. We will contact you after you have booked to schedule such if you require.
