The STEM Team at Winchester Science Centre would like to invite you to bring 10 female students from KS3 to take part in Engineering a Future Day to celebrate International Women’s Day 2017. The day is aimed to give students a taste of real engineering challenges and develop engineering skills, with the support of STEM professionals.
The Day will consist of three activities, all mentored by STEM Ambassadors with an engineering background.
- 1. Three engineering challenges; Robotic Bomb Disposal, Build a Bristlebot and Remote Control Car Challenge
- 2. A live science show
- 3. An engineering careers speed-networking session
- 4. A live planetarium show
Please book one ticket per school.
Free entry* offer for selected schools: This event is priced at £144.82 ex VAT per school (10 Students with up to 2 Adults). However, Winchester Science Centre will waive these costs for schools, on condition that they attend on the day. After a booking is confirmed, if the school then substantially cancels or does not attend, then they will be invoiced in full unless it is possible for the Science Centre to arrange for another group to take these up. Smaller group changes due to sickness etc would not affect the waiver. By making a booking, you are agreeing to these terms.
