John Johnson

John Johnson is Managing Director of IHelios, a manufacturer of environmentally friendly radiant heating systems and smart home technology, based in Hull.

After watching the Al Gore documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, he developed an interest in environmental matters and the impact of Global Warming which led him to start an Environmental Science degree with the Open University.

In 2006, he was offered the role of Commercial Director for Vibrant Energy Limited, a start-up based in London that quickly became the largest supplier of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) in the UK, providing services to most of the country’s largest Estate Agency groups.

In 2012, he launched Your Green Deal Provider Limited, which became a leading provider of energy efficient heating and insulation services in the UK, having contracts with Scottish Power, EON, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, and Norfolk Councils and many independent Builders Merchant companies.

The Future Homes Scheme clearly marks a departure from using fossil fuels and he believes that iHelios will make a significant impact on the UKs Carbon Reduction targets and the fight against Climate Change.
