Description

Engineers don't always get it right first time -- learn all about success by failure in the engineering process with this FREE workshop for kids. Filled with the weird and wonderful, take your little engineers on a tour of the history of invention, and try out some problem solving games to see how you'd do it better. Put the A in STEAM and your engineering skills to the test by designing your own invention for the Mining Institutes archives -- how would you change the world?

All ages welcome, but especilly aimed at 5 - 11 year olds. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Part of the SEAM Exhibition, exploring the North East's engineering heritage. Come find us at the Innovation Creation Station, on the top floor of the Mining Institute.

N.B Accessibility to these workshops is limited due to stairs up to the exhibition/ workshop space. Please contact the venue before booking on 0191 232 2201, if you require assistance.
