Description

This event will be taking place on Thursday 18th January and Friday 26th Janaury 2018.

Once you register you will be asked to choose which sessions you would like to attend.

**Please note that all sessions are voluntary, and the afternoon sessions on the 26th are a repeat of the afternoon sessions on the 18th so staff do not need to attend twice.**

Friday 26th January 2018:

Guest lecture from National Teaching Fellow Ian Turner on large group teaching

Ian Turner is a National Teaching Fellow and currently the Head of Forensic Science at the University of Derby. Ian is active in pedagogic research, specifically in innovative teaching and assessment and gamification. Ian has produced an HEA guide on Large Group Teaching Tips. This session will bring to life some of Ian’s suggestions for engaging with large student cohorts.
