Description

Better Future is Shell's UK campus tour that will make bold predictions about the world of work in 20 years time. Each event will take a different topic for example - will there still be a gender pay gap? How will automation affect the engineer? What does globalisation mean to your career? This event focuses on the future of gender issues in the workplace.

Keynote speaker:

Dr Ozak Esu is an electrical engineer working for Cundall and the 2017 Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) Young Woman Engineer of the Year. She will be making predictions about the of world of work in 20 years time with a particular focus on the world of engineering. She’ll answer questions like, how will automation impact job availability? Will it impact the types of job available? Will the skillsets that make a good engineer have changed?

Panel:

The keynote talk will be followed by a panel made up of a mixture of employers. You can ask them about their careers, what they’ve seen change and advice for how to start your own.
