Engineers Without Borders Ambassador Training Cheshire: Inspiring the Next...
Event Information
Description
Engineers Without Borders UK aims to inspire the next generation of globally responsible engineers; engineers that know they can have a huge impact on the sustainability of our future and the well-being of everyone, everywhere.
To achieve this, we produce interactive workshops and recruit Engineers Without Borders Ambassadors to deliver them in their local area. The workshops engage young people with engineering by showcasing the social purpose of engineering and the important role engineering plays in human development.
Come along to this regional training workshop to find out how you can get involved and become an Engineers Without Borders Ambassador. You will learn how to:
-
Discuss global issues and the role that engineering plays in human development in the classroom with children aged 9-16 years.
-
Deliver our newly updated workshop resources 'Power for Everyone Everywhere' & 'Water for Everyone Everywhere'.
-
Arrange your first workshop in the classroom as an approved Engineers Without Borders Ambassador.
Please note, to become an Engineers Without Borders Ambassador, you must also register with the STEM Ambassadors Programme and go through their approval process. During registration, please indicate that you are a part of the Engineers Without Borders scheme. This can be done before or after you attend our training session.
Engineers Without Borders UK has now had approval that the Ambassador Training session is CPD certified. This means that anyone attending our Ambassador Training sessions will receive a certificate of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) once we have received notification that they have delivered their first workshop.
