By Train: Newcastle Central Station is situated on the East Coast main line linking England and Scotland. It is directly accessible from London King’s Cross, Glasgow and Edinburgh. The walk from the station to The Core is approximately 10 minutes - directions can be found in the By Foot section.
Taxis are available immediately outside Newcastle Central Station.
By Foot: The Core is less than a five minute walk from St. James' Park football stadium and metro station, and less than a 10 minute walk from Newcastle railway station. When walking from Central Station, exit via the main doors, cross the road onto Grainger Street, opposite, and take the first left on to Westgate Road. Bath Lane is the third turning on your right hand side. Follow Bath Lane up the side of the city's historic West Wall. After 200 yards you will come to a dual carriageway, St. James' Boulevard. The Core is on the other side of the road.
By Car: There is very limited visitor car parking on site, which must be booked in advance to guarantee a space. To book a parking space for the event contact firstname.lastname@example.org. These will be provided on a first come, first served basis. If you have booked a space and are travelling to the car park using a satnav, the postcode to use is NE4 5SQ.
The Core also has disabled parking bays available. If you require a disabled parking space, please inform us when providing your accessibility information. Disabled bays must be booked in advance of the event to guarantee a space. Due to limited availability spaces will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
There are various public car parks close to The Core. Please see http://www.thecorenewcastle.co.uk/content/uploads/2016/07/Car-parks.pdf for further information on parking at the venue and nearby public car parks.
By Bus: You can get buses 36, 36B, 71, 87 or 88 from Berwick Street (across the road from Central Station), up to St. James' Park. The two main bus stations from Newcastle (Haymarket and Eldon Square bus stations) are on Percy Street, a 5-10 minute from The Core.
