We talk about a different topic every day (e.g. festivals, travel, music, sports and hobbies, food) in small groups. There is usually a local volunteer in each group to help with any language difficulties, and it's a relaxed, informal group. We enjoy hot drinks and snacks together, and it's a great way to make new friends, as well as practising speaking English.

You don't need to bring any materials (although you might like to bring a notebook and something to write with, to help you remember any new vocabulary you learn).

Friends International is a group of Christians who love to meet international students from all over the world and to welcome them into our Cambridge community, no matter what their faith background is . We organise regular meet-ups and activities, to help international students make friends and feel at home here, and to improve their English speaking skills. All our activities are organised by volunteers from different churches, and they are free for students to attend.
